Pictures in reports ...

Photographer for 14 years, my approach is simple, go towards others and understand who they are... I always put a point of honor to tell the lives of people, be they military, rebels and refugees in order to present all the complexity of a conflict.

There is neither good nor bad. I'm here to testify and by no means to take part. I love working on lengthy topics to understand the complexities of the world in which we live. Curious, with a desire to understand and learn, I am not afraid to tackle topics that question me as the closed world of Franc masonry or Orthodox religions. These are matters in which often the image is repressed, prohibited, see taboo.

All articles I'm working on have a common point, time spent... Topics for several months, subjects of news as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, or topics for several years as the religions in the world. Time is a richness to get at the culmination of a story. I think that photography is a form of writing; the photo is never random but a long background work fruit.

This magnificent profession which is our may also have these perverse effects. Indeed, it brings a lot of richness to the photographer and makes him grow but at the same time the current situation of the press prevents him to testify and expose. I think that there is nothing worse that see "aging" images in a drawer. This is comparable to a feeling of betrayal of people who accepted me and gave me confidence as for example raped women of DRC or the survivors of the Tsunami.

I do not search the scoop, nor even to be rich, but when a photo is taken, I have the impression to put a small stone while knowing that I we should never be satisfied with what I have, and I should relentlessly continue my battle. I want to just open their eyes to the people around me. I know I'm a grand utopian but I cannot do anything about it....
